Observers are dying to know what is inside Amazon’s mysterious box that is being driven around LA, and are advised to ask Alexa to find out.
A fit-for-a-dinosaur-from-Jurassic-World Amazon box with air holes and a shipping label addressed to Jurassic World’s Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) is raising the question, “What’s in the box?” as its being driven around LA.
Observers are particularly intrigued by two interactive components of the package: a SmileCode you can scan on Amazon’s smartphone app and an encouragement to ask Alexa, “Ask Jurassic World what’s in the box?” Participants are granted an interactive multiple-part experience complete with the roaring, dinosaur screeching you would expect should you visit the infamous Jurassic World, and discounted prices for Jurassic Park movies and the video, “Jurassic Park Theme”.
The advertising stunt brilliantly serves as promotion for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Amazon, and the Jeep Rubicon that is hauling that box. A similar stunt was previously seen from Amazon when it drove around a mysterious delivery from Nissan and raises the question, will Amazon continue with its interactive advertising tactics?
